Design Development & Tech Pack Service
The Design Development and Tech Pack service is tailored to transform your ideas into fully realised designs and sample-ready tech packs. From initial sketches and inspiration to detailed CADs, we work together to develop garments that align with your vision and brand identity. Each project includes design development, professionally prepared, industry-standard tech packs—comprehensive documents that provide your manufacturer with everything they need to begin sampling, including technical drawings, fabric and trim specifications, size charts, measurement specifications, and construction details. This service provides a strong technical foundation, helping to ensure a smooth transition from concept to first sample.

Tech Pack Service
A professionally prepared tech pack is the foundation of a successful garment. It provides your manufacturer with all the technical information needed to accurately sample and produce your design, helping to reduce errors, improve communication, and streamline the development process.
Each tech pack is tailored to your garment and can include detailed technical drawings, measurement specification sheets, fabric and trim specifications, construction details, a Bill of Materials (BOM), point of measurements (POM), grading, branding and artwork placement, and any additional production notes needed to ensure your manufacturer has a clear understanding of your design.
This service is ideal for fashion brands that already have a completed design and are ready to move into the sampling stage. Whether you're developing a new collection or adding to an existing range, you'll receive a professional, production-ready tech pack that gives your manufacturer everything they need to create your first sample with confidence.

Technical Fit Review Service
Once your first sample has been produced, a Technical Fit Review provides the expert guidance needed to refine your garment before moving into production.
This standalone service is designed to help you evaluate the fit, construction, and overall quality of your sample with confidence. During our dedicated virtual fit consultation, we'll review the garment together, discuss the fit in detail, identify any improvements, and answer any technical questions you may have.
Following our fit session, you'll send the sample to me for a detailed technical assessment. I'll verify the garment measurements against your tech pack, review the construction and workmanship, and identify any additional fit or technical improvements. You'll then receive a comprehensive fit comments document with clear, actionable feedback that you can send directly to your manufacturer for the next sampling round.
Due to limited availability, Technical Fit Reviews are currently offered exclusively to clients who have had their tech packs created by Emily Freelance Design. As I've been involved in developing your garment from the outset, I have a thorough understanding of the design intent, construction, and specifications, allowing me to provide the most accurate and valuable technical feedback throughout the sampling process.
